My Favorite Color is Ble

To my horror and great dismay, I find myself increasingly Americanised by the day, and without ever having set foot in this New World I hear so much about. Such is the spread of the culture of a country accused of having no culture.

I talk trash on my cell-phone (rubbish bins are but a distant memory to me now), my how-now-brown-cows are all over the place, and the sentence "My favourite colour is blue" is starting to look a little heavy on the 'u's. AND, to make matters worse, everyone can see my pants.

And so it seems that the natural progression of this alarming development is to start a blog. That's right, a blog. I'm from Ireland for god's sake, I have no earthly business participating in such shenanigans. I really should leave these matters to the capable fingers of my friends west of the Atlantic, but bugger it, I say - here goes.

So, let's see if I have anything interesting or enlightening to share. If it turns out that, no actually, I don't, well then at least we'll always have Paris. And some pretty pictures.

Sorry to hear that you think being "Americanized" is a bummer. I'm American and I like that quite a lot. But I would imagine that the Irish pride you have (being An Irish girl) would constitute your dismay.

I assume that's why you're horrified, not that American's play second fiddle to your Celtic heritage, but you just would like to stick to your roots? I can totally understand. My parents are Caribbean immigrants and my mother refuses to "Americanize" even though she has lived here most her life.

By the way, I found your blog through your Flickr account, I can't get enough of your lighting and shadows. I look forward to more images and blog posts.

Cheers,
